With each student, I conduct a short audition to assess their current level of guitar experience. Together, we discuss their goals and create an individual learning plan. For guitar, there are eight levels into which students are placed depending on their experience and skills.
I teach classical singing, focusing on singing freely and fully from the diaphragm, in a way that is personal and individual to each singer.
Every voice has its own unique qualities. I teach singing as it should be—completely free and without restrictions. It is important to give the voice space. Achieving this can be challenging, as people often forget how natural singing feels. The voice should sound as natural as possible. Proper positioning of the palate, tongue, and the so-called “vocal guard” are key to hitting notes cleanly and confidently.
Think with your diaphragm and sing through your eyes! – You’ll learn exactly what this means in my lessons.
Students who wish to make recordings in a studio also learn how to use microphones and headphones correctly to deliver a strong, free performance.
They learn how to sing or play guitar in the studio and produce high-quality recordings. Basic principles of guitar and/or vocal recording in Cubase or Logic Pro X are also taught.
Every student has the opportunity to record their voice before and after vocal coaching to document progress.
